Yield / ink quantity XXL vs. XL

For anyone else who may be trying to determine whether to buy the 240 XL black ink cartridge vs. the 240XXL cartridge, according to the Canon pdf document I found through an internet search, the XXL has double the yield / ink quantity.

As the XXL cartridge is, as of this writing, three dollars or so less than buying two XL cartridges, it would seem to be the better value.

Update in response to comments:
As a "star rating" was required in order to offer the information above, I gave the product three stars because in my opinion these cartridges, whether the XL or XXL versions, are overpriced.

As of the date I wrote the review, only the very expensive Canon ink cartridges were available rather than more affordable non-OEM replacement cartridges. I believe this may still be true. Had I known that cheaper after-market ink cartridges were not available, I would have purchased a different printer in the first place.

There is nothing wrong with the Canon cartridges other than that I think they are overpriced. They fit properly, produce black print on a page, and do not leak.

Great ink!

Product was delivered quickly. This cartridge is lasting so much longer then the original 240. I recommend buying the 240XXL for everyone. It is more cost effective. It may seem more expensive but in the long run you will save more money.

Cheap and great!

this the the lowest price I could find for this ink. and the quality is just great. I am an Communication and Journalism major and I need to print a great amount of paper every semester. this cartridge can last more than one semester about 7 months!
