Easy to set up and use, great basic all-in-one

The one reviewer that said it took hours to set up the wifi must have been doing something wrong along the way because it took me about 15 minutes from parking my car in the driveway to start printing wirelessly. Very easy to set up and use (at least on my network with multiple iPhones, MacBook, and Windows 7 PC's - your mileage may vary).

This is my first photo printer so I can't say whether its better or worse than anything else, but the few photos I've printed out came out gorgeous. Printing black & white works awesome as well, I printed out my tax return just to test the printer's speed and it cranked out about a page every 5 seconds by my count. Text print quality is way superior to my previous Epson inkjet. Black text looks crisp and not blotchy like my old machine.

I haven't printed color on regular copy paper yet so I don't know how this printer will perform, but judging by the photo quality, I would expect great results.

To summarize, this printer works extremely well for photographs, and is awesome for black/white text documents as well. Wireless setup is a snap, just make sure you get the latest software from the canon website (always a good idea anyway, things often get updated after the product ships to stores so you want to make sure you have the newest drivers etc).

Things I haven't tried yet on this printer but that seem like cool features:
-print 2 sided (my old machine couldn't do this. Great way to save paper)
-copy/scan haven't used these basic features but I'm sure they work fine
-print full color on regular (non-photo) paper. Personally I don't see myself using regular paper for color printing anyway, because photo quality in color is beautiful and that's the only color thing I'd be printing for the most part anyway.

network setup

Set this up on network can print from any phones we have, android and apple also prints from tablet and computers no problem, did go to canon website and downloaded lastest drivers and software.
